This is achieved through restoration of water supplies and sanitation services by way of:

  • rehabilitation of non-functional boreholes, wells, springs and piped water schemes
  • investment in new WASH infrastructure –
    • borehole drilling, development of new piped water schemes, sinking of wells and protection of springs
    • Construction of safe latrines and hygiene enabling facilities
  • hygiene education for behaviour change
  • capacity building of sub national structures for sustainable WASH service delivery including training of artisans, water point committees, sanitation and hygiene committees .
